About Redemption House Ministries
Redemption House Ministries was founded in 2013 with a simple but powerful mission: to share the redeeming love of Jesus Christ by offering shelter, support, and a safe place where individuals and families can rediscover love, hope, and faith.
What began as a compassionate outreach of the Prineville Nazarene Church has grown into an important community ministry serving people experiencing homelessness in Crook County. The first shelter was created in the basement of the church and was thoughtfully remodeled to provide a warm and welcoming environment for women and children. With comfortable furnishings, books, and calming décor, the space was designed to offer more than just a bed for the night. It was intended to be a place where mothers and children could begin to feel secure and hopeful again.
As the need for shelter services in the community continued to grow, Redemption House Ministries expanded. In 2016, local leaders and community partners began working together to establish a separate shelter for men, known as Regeneration House. The men’s shelter initially opened on Northwest Second Street and later relocated to its current home at 970 NW Madras Highway. Since opening at that location in January 2018, Regeneration House has provided safe overnight accommodations and supportive services for men seeking stability and a fresh start.
Our Continuing Story
Today, Redemption House Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing, food, and practical resources for individuals and families facing homelessness. Through separate shelters for women and children and for men, the ministry offers more than temporary relief. It provides guidance, encouragement, and the opportunity to build a path toward self-sufficiency and renewed purpose. At the heart of Redemption House Ministries is the belief that every person is created with dignity and worth.
A Community Effort
By living as examples of God’s love and guidance, the ministry helps people overcome difficult circumstances and move toward a better life. This work is made possible through the partnership of churches, businesses, philanthropic organizations, and generous individuals throughout the community. Together, these supporters help provide the resources and encouragement needed to transform lives and restore hope to those who need it most.
