Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at Redemption House Ministries is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing homelessness, hunger, and difficult circumstances. Whether you are serving a warm meal at Craig’s Compassionate Café, helping in one of the shelters, supporting outreach efforts, or assisting with special events, your time and compassion help create a safe and welcoming environment where every person is treated with dignity and respect.
Our volunteers play an essential role in carrying out the mission of Redemption House Ministries. Some prepare and serve food, others help maintain clean and comfortable spaces, organize donations, support outreach and pantry operations, or simply offer a friendly and encouraging presence. No matter the task, every volunteer contributes to a larger purpose: providing hope, practical support, and genuine human connection to some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors.
Volunteering is also deeply rewarding on a personal level. Many people discover that serving others gives them a greater sense of purpose, strengthens their connection to the community, and offers the satisfaction of seeing the immediate impact of their efforts. It is a chance to build meaningful relationships, develop new skills, and experience the joy that comes from helping others in a tangible way.
If you have a pleasant attitude, a willingness to serve, and a desire to treat every person with kindness and respect, we invite you to join us. Whether you can volunteer occasionally or on a regular basis, your contribution matters and will be appreciated.

Volunteer Positions
Craig’s Compassionate Café
Help prepare and serve nourishing meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Volunteers may assist with food preparation, serving lunch, accepting donations, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen. We also welcome volunteers who enjoy cooking and those willing to help with weekly deep-cleaning tasks.
Shelter Volunteer
Support shelter staff in creating a caring and stable environment for residents. Volunteers help with daily activities and provide informal encouragement and support while respecting each individual’s dignity and self-esteem.
Outreach Volunteer
Assist the outreach team with community engagement, pantry operations, and field activities. Outreach volunteers help build relationships, connect with community partners, and support programs that extend assistance beyond the shelter walls.
Event Volunteer
Help with fundraising events, community gatherings, and special activities that raise awareness and support for the ministry.
Volunteers don’t get paid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless.”
